Finalists for the 4th Los Angeles Turkish Film Festival short film competition are announced.
Film Independent at LACMA curator and film critic Elvis Mitchell announced the ten finalists for the competition. Selected by Mitchell from among 312 submissions, the directors of the 10 short films will be hosted in Los Angeles throughout the festival (March 9-13, 2016) and their films will be screened in the historic Egyptian Theater.
As part of the LATFF Academy, the finalist directors will have an exclusive opportunity to workshop with prominent figures from the film industry. The Los Angeles Turkish Film Festival also includes feature film screenings and Q&A sessions with renowned Turkish filmmakers.
Last festival’s jury lineup included Reha Erdem, Saadet Aksoy, Michelle Satter, Jacques Thelemaque and Bill Dill; members for this year’s jury will be announced in February.
