Third day of Los Angeles Turkish Film Festival started with LATFF Workshop sessions for the short film competition finalists. Renowned Turkish director Dervis Zaim’s master class was followed by a Q&A with Ron Yerxa the producer of Nebraska.
The first feature film screening of the day was Hakki Kurtulus and Melik Saracoglu’s Eye Am, which received many awards including this year’s Golden Boll Film Festival Best Film Award. The directors joined with audience for a Q&A after the film.
The films, which made it to the final round of the competition, were also screened today. The jury president Reha Erdem and the jury members Chapman University Department of Cinematography Chair Bill Dill, Filmmakers Alliance President Jacques Thelemaque, Sundance Institute’s Feature Film Program’s Founding Director Michelle Satter, Actress Saadet Aksoy and LACMA Film Curator Elvis Mitchell will reveal the winner of the Golden Egg tomorrow.
The evening screening of Onur Unlu’s Thou Gild’st the Even will be followed by a Q&A with the actor Serkan Keskin.
The last day’s screenings of Dervis Zaim’s Cycle and Reha Erdem’s Singing Women will be followed by the Award Ceremony
